About the position

The Web and Digital Media Manager III (Graphic Designer) is responsible for overseeing design projects, managing social media profiles, and implementing digital strategies that align with the objectives of the Ascension Parish Government. This role includes the creation of digital media content and the optimization of websites and marketing materials to enhance visibility and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manages the design and development of websites, digital media projects, and marketing materials
• Creates visually appealing and effective digital media content for various platforms and audiences
• Oversees social media strategies and monitors performance metrics
• Implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and optimizes digital content for search engines
• Collaborates with senior leadership to align digital strategies with business objectives
• Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in graphic design, web design, or a related field and (1) year of directly related experience
• 5 years of combined progressively higher-level education leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree and directly related experience, or 5 years of directly related experience
• For Labor Grade 112: 3 years of combined progressively higher-level education leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree and directly related experience, or 3 years of directly related experience
• For Labor Grade 111: 1 year of combined progressively higher-level education leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree and directly related experience, or 1 year of directly related experience
