About the position

The Web and Events Coordinator at the University of Iowa will manage web content, coordinate events, and execute communication initiatives for the International Programs department. Responsibilities

  • Manage web content for the International Programs website and related pages.
  • Coordinate and support events, including logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Create communications such as emails and documents for event planning.
  • Utilize Google Analytics to inform content and design decisions for the website.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans for enhancing the effectiveness of the websites.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology Services to ensure website accessibility and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of experience in project management, event coordination, web content management, or communications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for various media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience in web content management and proficiency with content management systems like Drupal.
  • Experience with event planning and logistics.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
