About the position

The Web and Mobile App Development Manager at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago will play a pivotal role in managing the organization’s digital initiatives and overall strategy aimed at maximizing brand awareness and enhancing consumer experience. This position is integral to supporting the integrated marketing strategy of Pathways.org, where the manager will collaborate closely with various team members, including marketing professionals, designers, and stakeholders. The focus will be on optimizing the reach and digital presence of Pathways.org’s products and information related to children’s development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health education and committed to ensuring that every parent has access to vital information regarding their child’s health and development. In this role, the manager will be responsible for analyzing key metrics and performance data to measure the success of web and mobile app initiatives. This includes identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven decisions to enhance the effectiveness of digital strategies. Staying informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies will be crucial for identifying opportunities for innovation and differentiation. The manager will also develop, manage, and update the organization’s digital analytics strategy, ensuring that the web and app databases are effectively utilized to derive impactful insights. The Web and Mobile App Development Manager will oversee the Digital Marketing Analyst, who will collect, filter, and process statistical data from marketing efforts, translating this data into actionable insights. The manager will track marketing initiatives and compile reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, site traffic growth, and customer satisfaction rates. Spotting growth opportunities and identifying areas where analytics capabilities can be improved will be essential tasks. Additionally, the manager will drive user engagement, optimize customer experiences, and increase conversion rates through the development and optimization of landing pages and conversion funnel A/B tests. Managing the implementation of SEO initiatives, including agency partnerships and internal creative team collaborations, will also be a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze key metrics and performance data to measure the success of web and mobile app initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop, manage, and update the digital analytics strategy.
  • Review web and app database using SQL to identify KPIs and other metrics for impactful insights.
  • Oversee Digital Marketing Analyst in collecting, filtering, and processing statistical data from marketing efforts.
  • Compile reports on KPIs such as conversion rates, site traffic growth, and customer satisfaction rates.
  • Identify crucial growth opportunities and areas lacking in analytics capacities.
  • Gauge the effectiveness of current analytics tools and suggest improvements.
  • Analyze target market segments and traffic trends for optimization and content opportunities.
  • Drive user engagement, optimize customer experiences, and increase conversion rates.
  • Develop and optimize landing pages and conversion funnel A/B tests.
  • Manage implementation of SEO initiatives and track performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's in tech, information design, strategy or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years experience in website analytics and SEO management.
  • Deep knowledge of online marketing metrics and reporting tied to SEO, advertising, social media, user journeys, segmentation and personas, user experience, survey and feedback tools, website reporting tools, and customer experience/web analytics.
  • Extensive experience with various marketing and business intelligence technologies, e.g. Google AdWords, Google Search Console, Social Media Ad Platforms, YouTube Analytics, SEMRush, Google Tag Manager, etc.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics and SQL.
  • Deep understanding of the customer journey, user experience, and analytics.
  • Proven track record in increasing user experience and strategies for increasing digital reach.
  • Experience with mobile app analytics tools and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles and UX/UI best practices.
  • Passion for mobile technology and a drive to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Ability to present concepts clearly and keep others informed.
  • Self-starting, capable of working independently while contributing as part of a team.
  • Organized and able to prioritize projects and meet multiple deadlines.
