About The Position

The Web/API Application Developer at Mass General Brigham will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of web applications for various health plan initiatives. This role involves collaborating with business and product owners to define objectives, managing technical implementations, and ensuring the integration of applications within a service-based architecture. The developer will work in cross-functional teams to enhance the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process and support quality assurance efforts, while also participating in strategic planning and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • 5 years of direct experience in web/API applications design and implementation.
  • 3 years of experience in the design and development of healthcare technology solutions.
  • Strong programming and systems analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, RESTful and SOAP APIs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Responsibilities

  • Support web application development and maintenance for health plan initiatives.
  • Coordinate with business/product owners to define and scope business requirements.
  • Manage the technical implementation of business objectives.
  • Ensure optimal application of technology and engineering resources for application integration.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to identify and resolve contentions and develop best practices for the SDLC process.
  • Support the QA team to ensure deliverable quality and efficient completion of sprint commitments.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives for products and services and product roadmap discussions.
  • Engage in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Support the balance of technical debt versus progress pace.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver common technical and architectural solutions.
  • Design and develop web applications using ASP.NET, MVC, HTML5, and Azure.
  • Maintain web applications using .NET, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SAML 2.0, React JS, Angular, Web API, and .NET Core MicroServices.
  • Participate in REST and SOAP API design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate applications with Microsoft Dynamics365 platform.
  • Utilize Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and automatic build deployments.
  • Define and deliver application systems and interfaces, validate technology assumptions, and evaluate alternatives.
  • Track and monitor problem tickets for timely resolution.
  • Evaluate tools for better management of integrations with supporting systems.
  • Anticipate and meet customer expectations, establishing effective relationships with customers.
  • Coordinate change and revision management to ensure system interoperability.
  • Support IT Change Management Process.
