The Web/API Application Developer will support web application development and maintenance for various health plan initiatives. This role involves coordinating with business/product owners to define and scope the objectives of the business requirements and successfully manage the technical implementation of those requirements. The developer will ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to integrate applications in a service-based architecture to meet customer requirements. Working in cross-functional teams, the developer will identify points of contention and develop best practices to support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. Additionally, the developer will support the QA team to ensure deliverable quality and efficient completion of sprint commitments. The Web/API developer will collaborate with technical teams to deliver a common technical and architectural solution for their assigned functional area under development. Responsibilities include designing and developing web applications using ASP.NET, MVC, HTML5, and Azure, utilizing either Agile or Waterfall delivery models. The developer will also maintain web applications using .NET, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SAML 2.0, React JS, Angular, Web API, and .NET Core MicroServices. Experience with .NET security features such as Authentication, Forms-based Authentication, and Client Certificate Authentication is essential. The role also involves participating in REST and SOAP API design, development, testing, and deployment, as well as application integration with the Microsoft Dynamics365 platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps for Code Repository, CI/CD Pipelines, and automatic build deployments. They will participate in defining and delivering application systems and interfaces, validate technology assumptions, and evaluate alternatives. The developer should be technically savvy with advanced full-stack web development skills and back-/front-end programming capabilities to actively execute development and maintenance of applications and integrate with APIs or backend services. The ability to establish technical business requirements and deliver in the short-term while preparing for the long-term is crucial, as is the ability to identify and mitigate development and implementation risks. The developer will track and monitor problem tickets to ensure timely resolution and evaluate tools as necessary to better manage integrations with other supporting systems. Anticipating and exceeding internal and/or external customer expectations and requirements while establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers is key to success in this role. The developer will also coordinate and/or perform change and revision management to ensure interoperability of systems and support the IT Change Management Process.
