About the position

Helios Defense Solutions LLC is seeking a highly motivated and well-qualified Web Application & Database Developer to assist in migrating, managing, and maintaining a SQL Server and Web Application for a US Government client. This is a hybrid work role with 75% remote work and 25% in-office at a US Government facility located near Aberdeen, NC. The position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

• Database and Application Installation
• Modifying existing forms and database tables to accommodate unit-specific data requirements
• Modifying web application forms and displays to account for multiple instances of candidate assessments
• Developing or modifying scripts to extract, validate, and load data from PDF and CSV files
• Ensuring Compliance and Security with DoD data security standards
• Managing various data sets
• Attending weekly meetings with USG representatives to provide updates and receive feedback
• Conducting quarterly updates to PDFs, the SQL database, and the web application to improve performance and usability
• Performing various statistical analyses on candidate data to support program validation efforts
• Training designated USG personnel in performing routine data management and analysis activities

Requirements

• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Possess a minimum of SECRET clearance
• Possess CompTIA Security+ certification
• Experience with full stack web development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and backend programming languages
• Experience with C, ASP.NET framework, and Model View Controller architecture
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server including database development and complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers
• Experience using Python for automation or web development
• Experience parsing information from PDFs with libraries (PyPDF2 & PDFMiner)
• Experience performing descriptive, univariate and multivariate statistical analyses
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Machine Learning applications
• Proficient in SPSS and R statistics applications
• Knowledge of web scraping
