About the position

The Web Application Developer - Python role focuses on expanding a Portfolio Optimization tool for the Munis Desk, enabling Sales and Trading users to customize and create client portfolios through an iterative process. The position requires designing scalable applications and developing high-performance systems to meet complex business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Designing highly scalable core and web applications using best practices.
• Developing high-performance middle-tier systems.
• Developing REST services.
• Interacting with Business to understand complex business requirements.
• Translating complex business requirements into robust technical implementation.
• Developing application codes and unit tests.
• Ensuring high performance of applications and providing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or similar.
• Highly experienced in Python.
• Experience in Java is preferred.
• Highly experienced in database technologies: SQL, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Elasticsearch, and KDB/Q preferred.
