About the position

The Web Designer at Public Consulting Group (PCG) is responsible for creating and updating website layouts and components using UI/UX principles. This role involves collaborating with the web design team to conceptualize and implement creative ideas for client websites, ensuring that all visual elements align with branding guidelines. The position requires a blend of technical skills and creativity to enhance the user experience across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop mockups, website layouts, and components using UI/UX principles.
• Make updates to managed websites while ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with other members of the web design team on new projects.
• Conceptualize and implement creative ideas for client websites.
• Create visual elements that align with the company's and/or clients' branding guidelines.

Requirements

• Strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and implement design direction.
• Ability to collaborate with project teams and clients.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS required, with some ability in JavaScript libraries.
• Experience with platforms like Squarespace and WordPress.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's degree in a design discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Adobe Workfront.
