About the position

We are seeking a qualified website developer to join our creative company and make an immediate impact. The primary responsibility of this role is to build and maintain custom websites that meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in website development and a strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This position requires a proactive approach to web design and development, ensuring that all websites are not only visually appealing but also functional and user-friendly. In this role, you will be responsible for developing website navigation, functionality, site content, and graphics based on initial Photoshop concepts. Collaboration with team members is essential to determine the site structure and elements that will support online content, including the selection of appropriate graphics and stock photography. You will also create and optimize online forms, ensuring they are user-friendly and effective. Additionally, you will optimize website elements to ensure they work effectively across various browsers and platforms, including social media channels and mobile devices. Maintaining and upgrading existing website content, graphics, links, and coding will also be part of your responsibilities. Staying up-to-date with new technology and standards is crucial, and you will be expected to build personal networks, explore competitors' websites, and read professional publications to enhance your knowledge. You will be responsible for all phases of assigned projects, which includes development, HTML coding, testing, and implementation. Responsibilities

• Develop website navigation, functionality, site content and graphics based on initial Photoshop concepts.
• Collaborate with team members to determine site structure and elements to support online content, including appropriate graphics and stock photography.
• Create and optimize online forms.
• Optimize website elements to work effectively across browsers and platforms, social media channels, and mobile devices.
• Upgrade/maintain existing website content, graphics, links, coding, etc. as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technology and standards by building personal networks, exploring competitors’ websites, reading professional publications, etc.
• Responsible for all phases of assigned projects, including development, HTML coding, testing, and implementation.

Requirements

• Strong web programming skills.
• Experience on Mac platform is required.
• 2+ years of experience in building websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery ok) is required.
• Creative design background/knowledge is definitely a plus.
• Knowledge of PHP, Flash or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively, with strong attention to detail.
