Web Designer/Devloper (On-site in Knoxville, TN)

About the position

At Keller Creative Agency, we specialize in crafting compelling websites and engaging digital marketing solutions that drive results. Our development team excels in design, CSS, and visual creativity, primarily leveraging WordPress. We’re now seeking a Web Designer/Developer who can contribute primarily through coding and functional enhancements, complementing our existing design-focused development.

Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and design WordPress websites.
• Collaborate closely with our lead designer/developer, implementing functional improvements beyond visual design.
• Write clear, efficient HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress PHP.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize websites to ensure responsive, high-performance experiences.
• Create dynamic solutions using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) within WordPress.
• Provide support for basic back-end tasks like custom queries and content integration.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of web development experience (including freelance, agency, or personal projects).
• Comfortable working directly in code.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals, and WordPress PHP basics.
• Experience or familiarity with ACF and custom content integrations.
• Independent problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow.

Nice-to-haves

• Interest or experience in performance optimization (speed, asset delivery, responsiveness).
• Previous agency or freelance experience is beneficial but not required.
• GTM experience, email, and automations and workflows is a plus.
