About the position

MākuSafe® is seeking a talented Junior-to-Mid-Level Designer/Front-End Developer to join our team. This role focuses on designing and implementing responsive web interfaces for customer-facing applications, ensuring a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces and will collaborate with the back-end team to integrate front-end components.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop user-friendly, responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with the development team to create intuitive, visually appealing, and functional UI/UX designs.
• Ensure design consistency, accessibility, and performance across browsers and devices.
• Assist with maintaining and updating existing front-end features.
• Handle bug reports and implement front-end fixes as necessary.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in front-end development.
• 2+ years of experience in web design.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.
• Experience working with design tools (e.g., Figma).
• Basic understanding of UX principles and a passion for creating user-centered designs.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS) and CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap).
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Prior experience with Cypress or other testing tools is a plus.
• Ability to provide links to work samples or a portfolio.
