The Web Designer Manager at Louisiana State University is responsible for overseeing the web design strategy and development for multiple subdomains, ensuring a consistent and high-quality digital presence. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance user experience, optimize web performance, and mentor junior designers. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the web design strategy for LSU OCE's subdomains, ensuring consistency and innovation.
• Optimize conversion rate performance and support enrollment goals through proactive troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, Recruitment & Retention, and Marketing teams to improve user experience and optimize web pages.
• Implement front-end and back-end development to enhance user experience and site functionality.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a learning environment.
• Conduct regular website performance audits to ensure content consistency and compliance with web accessibility standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of web development experience.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

• Experience managing multiple subdomains within a larger digital ecosystem.
• Strong mentorship skills with a proven ability to guide junior team members.
• Solid understanding of SEO best practices and web performance optimization.
