About the position

The Web Designer Specialist will support Project Helix: Platform Simplification, focusing on enhancing the developer experience and unifying existing tools. The role aims to merge two existing developer experiences into a single, best-in-class experience for ease of use, primarily working with a team based in Cincinnati, with some support from a London-based team. Remote work is possible during EST hours.

Responsibilities

  • Designs internal and external web pages, including layout, user interface graphics, navigation, and graphics for new product releases and web-hosted product offerings.
  • Works closely with Web Developer on coding to integrate text, graphics, sound, and/or video, and with the Web Administrator to implement pages or applications into production.
  • Assures web server and site technical performance.
  • Performs development and maintenance programming for web pages and web applications and conducts web usability testing.
  • Develops, assesses, and communicates website usage and security policies and standards.
  • May perform a limited amount of web programming and coding.
  • Provides technical assistance to Site Administrators.
  • May assist in planning the overall company strategy involving Internet usage.
  • Generally responsible for the look, feel, operation, and functionality of a commercial website.
  • Designs and constructs web pages/sites and applications, incorporating graphic user interface features and other techniques.
  • Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the appeal of the organization's online offerings.
  • Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience
  • Demonstrable experience in the design of high-quality web/mobile products/portals/websites
  • Experience in improving business metrics through user-centric product design
  • Expert level Figma skills
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Dev docs experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Payment industry experience is a plus, though not mandatory
  • Emphasis on the quality of design and the ability to improve user flows and interfaces
