About the position

The Web Designer Specialist at Unity World Headquarters is responsible for creating and developing marketing materials for digital platforms, including websites, e-commerce, social media, and email campaigns. This role involves collaborating with the Communications and IT teams to design and implement digital communications that align with Unity's brand identity and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design, user experience, and digital marketing, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design, update, and improve all of Unity's websites following digital best practices including SEO and user experience.
  • Design graphics for digital projects and retouch photos using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Produce content for interactive publications, web pages, emails, and social media, ensuring a positive user experience.
  • Create wireframes, navigation flows, and template layouts for digital projects.
  • Develop mockups and templates for webpages, emails, and ads.
  • Assist in the implementation of custom web pages and graphics from concept to execution.
  • Provide design support for print materials as needed.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize and implement digital projects.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to the assigned schedule, with potential for remote work.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in web design or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of combined education, training, and experience.
  • Five years of experience in web design and production, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) elements and best practices.
  • Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with responsive web design and UI/UX practices.
  • Demonstrated experience creating web and application-specific assets.
  • Knowledge of open-source content management systems like Drupal and WordPress.
  • Experience in email marketing, including design and sending newsletters and promotional emails.
  • Ability to code mobile-friendly email communications using table-based/inline CSS layouts.
  • Working knowledge of social media design requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with A/B testing in email marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with various email marketing platforms beyond MailChimp.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and integration.
