About the position

The Web Designer III position is a contract role focused on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for SaaS applications, particularly in the healthcare sector. The designer will collaborate with product managers and UX team members to create user-friendly designs that adhere to brand standards and optimize user experience. This role requires a strong background in UX design, proficiency in Figma, and experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop analysis and user research plans that meet project deadlines.
• Review previously conducted research to limit rework.
• Conduct user interviews and document user workflows and system interactions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and UX team members to ensure consistent design and appropriate reuse of design patterns across products.
• Set project scope and review requirements and proposed designs prior to development.
• Create UI mockups, user task and interaction flows, screen designs, and user-interface interaction details that comply with Wolters Kluwer Design System and brand standards.
• Work in an Agile development team to deconstruct desired product features into development stories and establish acceptance criteria.
• Help design user acceptance testing to ensure the final product meets the design specifications.
• Provide desk checks of delivered features and coordinate with the product manager to align market introduction planning with the delivery schedule.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in user experience design.
• SaaS application design background required; healthcare application development background preferred.
• Proficiency in Figma design tools is a must.
• 6 years of experience in UX design, SaaS, design patterns, and UI design.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to relocate to Madison, WI before starting work.
