About the position

The UX Designer position at Formac in Austin, TX, is a full-time contract role focused on creating user-friendly and visually appealing enterprise applications. The designer will collaborate with UX, Development, and Product Management teams to enhance usability and accessibility, while also contributing to marketing and support page designs. The role requires a strong background in visual communication and familiarity with Apple design principles.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teammates in UX, Development, and Product Management to design attractive, best-in-class systems.
• Add motion in subtle ways to improve communication between the application and its users.
• Help promote and support our solution by designing marketing and support pages.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience, including 2+ years designing enterprise applications.
• A command of visual communication principles including typography, iconography, grid systems, and motion design.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and implementing design systems.
• Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, and/or other design tools.
• Proficiency in Principle or other non-Web-based motion-design tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate design concepts through sketches, comps, and written specifications.
• Functions well both independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Deep familiarity with Apple design principles.
