About the position

The Web Designer at Loyola University Chicago will manage the Graduate & Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM) web presence, supporting strategic enrollment goals. This role involves modifying, maintaining, and designing web content for the university's centralized graduate recruitment website, ensuring alignment with university brand standards, and applying user interface/experience principles to enhance website navigation and usability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the GPEM web presence to support strategic enrollment goals.
• Modify, maintain, and design web content for the university's graduate recruitment website.
• Collaborate with the GPEM Admissions team and campus partners to coordinate design and production of digital communication collateral.
• Partner with Enrollment Marketing and UMC to ensure alignment with university brand standards.
• Design and construct recruitment-based tools within the GPEM landscape.
• Apply user interface/experience principles to enhance website usability.
• Provide expertise in Slate, assisting GPEM staff with troubleshooting and best practices.
• Partner with ESRR to provide recommendations based on analytics across communications and web presence.
• Support admissions team in Slate campaign strategies and provide design recommendations based on audience.
• Continuously refresh branding based on industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Web Design, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing web pages in corporate, educational, or freelance environments.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools.
• Working knowledge of current (HTML, CSS, scripting) and emerging technologies.
