About the position

The Web Designer at HiBid Auctions will lead the visual transformation of the company's website, focusing on creating a cohesive, engaging, and user-friendly design that aligns with the brand identity. This role involves collaboration with product managers and developers to establish a modern look and feel for the website, develop a style guide, and ensure a seamless mobile experience.

Responsibilities

• Create a visually appealing, modern design for the website, including page layouts, color schemes, typography, and imagery that align with the brand.
• Develop and maintain a style guide to establish a cohesive look across all visual assets and ensure brand consistency.
• Design with a mobile-first approach, ensuring the website looks and performs well across all devices.
• Design the mobile app experience to ensure consistency and seamless user interaction across platforms.
• Work with product managers to understand business and user needs, transforming initial concepts and requirements into high-fidelity, responsive designs.
• Use tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to create high-fidelity visual mockups and clickable prototypes for review and feedback.
• Apply UX principles to create intuitive and engaging interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and drive engagement.
• Produce design assets and visual elements needed for development, marketing, and other teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Web Designer, Product Designer, or UI Designer, with a portfolio showcasing expertise in creating visually compelling, user-friendly websites.
• Strong proficiency in web design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Deep understanding of visual design principles (typography, iconography, color theory, layout).
• Experience designing for responsive web and mobile interfaces.
• A strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional software teams, including product managers and developers.
• A deep understanding of UX principles and best practices, with an innate drive to proactively seek out and incorporate user feedback to increase user engagement and satisfaction.
• Experience working on e-commerce, auction, or marketplace platforms.
• Familiarity with basic front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration with developers.
