About the position

The Web Designer & Technology Implementer at Rita's Hospitality Group is responsible for enhancing the company's online presence through creative web design and the integration of innovative technology solutions. This role focuses on developing user-friendly interfaces, implementing third-party software, and ensuring the website meets both customer and operational needs. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a visually compelling, responsive website that aligns with the brand's aesthetic and business goals.
• Create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for seamless experiences on desktop and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure the website reflects promotional material and brand identity.
• Regularly update content, design elements, and features to keep the site current and engaging.
• Integrate third-party software and digital tools into the website and customer-facing platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify technology needs and deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement website features like booking forms, chatbots, and payment gateways.
• Ensure smooth technical operations of all web-based systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Conduct user research and analysis to improve website usability and design functionality.
• Test website performance across devices and browsers, ensuring fast load times and security.
• Implement data-driven design improvements based on user feedback and analytics.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align technology and design with business goals.
• Keep stakeholders informed about progress and challenges, presenting decisions clearly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a web designer, front-end developer, or in a similar role, ideally in the hospitality or service industries.
• Strong proficiency in web design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma) and front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Squarespace, and e-commerce solutions (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
• Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Experience integrating third-party tools and APIs into websites (e.g., booking systems, CRMs, payment gateways).
• Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
