About the position

The Web Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining the online identity of the program through the development of websites on the WordPress platform and managing multiple social media channels. This role ensures that all web-based content complies with ADA standards and provides support for audio-visual resources and electronic communications within the program.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the program's online identity through websites built on the WordPress platform and manage social media channels.
• Ensure web-based content, including downloadable files, complies with ADA (Section 504/508) standards.
• Maintain and manage the program's audio-visual resources and provide support to program personnel using those resources.
• Manage the program's listservs and listserv communications.
• Assist with the development and design of online forms and other electronic communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, English, graphic design, fine arts, or a closely related field.
• 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience with the WordPress platform and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of ADA compliance and familiarity with various social media platforms.
• Basic understanding of photography and graphic design principles.
