About the position

The Web Designer at Loyola University Chicago will manage the web presence for the Graduate & Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM) department, supporting strategic enrollment goals. This role involves employing best practices in web design, modifying and maintaining web content, and collaborating with various teams to produce digital communication collateral. The position requires a strong focus on user interface and experience principles to ensure the website is user-friendly and aligned with university branding standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the GPEM web presence to support strategic enrollment goals.
  • Modify, maintain, and design web content for the University's centralized graduate recruitment website.
  • Manage the pattern library and all style sheets.
  • Collaborate with the GPEM Admissions team and campus partners to coordinate design and production of digital communication collateral.
  • Partner with Enrollment Marketing and UMC to ensure alignment with university brand standards.
  • Design and construct recruitment-based tools within the GPEM landscape.
  • Apply user interface/experience principles to ensure website navigation is user-friendly.
  • Provide expertise in Slate, assisting GPEM staff with troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Partner with ESRR to provide recommendations based on analytics across communications and web presence.
  • Support admissions team in Slate campaign strategies and provide design recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Web Design, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience developing web pages in corporate, educational, or freelance environments.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools.
  • Working knowledge of current HTML, CSS, and scripting technologies.
