About the position

The Web Designer at Solution Tree, Inc. is responsible for designing and producing a variety of visual communication materials to support marketing objectives and campaigns. This role involves collaboration with the web team and other stakeholders to create web assets, digital ads, and emails, while maintaining website content and optimizing graphics for the web. The designer will also participate in user interface design and enhance the overall customer experience across websites and applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain website content using a CMS system and WordPress
• Design and produce a wide range of visual communication materials, including digital ads and emails
• Prepare proofs for internal circulation and make necessary revisions during production cycles
• Create web graphics and assets that support online marketing objectives
• Optimize graphics and photographs for the web, including search engine optimization
• Redesign existing web pages as required
• Manage the preparation of illustrative materials from artists and vendors
• Ensure design elements work across various browser types and screen settings
• Collaborate with marketing and development staff on project style and approach
• Participate in efforts to improve the quality of websites and electronic publications

Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent graphic design skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Knowledge of design principles, UX, color theory, responsive layouts, typography, and web standards
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or WordPress
• Experience in online marketing including web, social media, and email
• Demonstrated competency with email designs and campaigns
• B.A. or B.S. in graphic design, art, or related field or equivalent experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Content Management Systems such as Drupal or Magento
• Portfolio showcasing web design examples
