About the position

The Web Designer at Louisiana State University is responsible for creating and maintaining the online identity of the program through its websites and social media channels. This role ensures that all web-based content is compliant with ADA standards and provides support for audio-visual resources and electronic communications.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the program's online identity through LSG's websites built on the WordPress platform and social media channels.
• Ensure web-based content, including downloadable files, are ADA (Section 504/508) compliant.
• Maintain and manage the program's audio-visual resources and provide support to program personnel using those resources.
• Manage the program's listservs and listserv communications.
• Assist with the development and design of online forms and other electronic communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, English, graphic design, fine arts, or a closely related field.
• 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience with the WordPress platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of ADA compliance and basic photography/graphic design principles.
