Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Web Developer for the COB Marketing & Communications Group located in Boca Raton, FL. The FAU College of Business is one of the largest AACSB-accredited colleges of business in the United States, serving over 8,500 students. The FAU Sports Management MBA is also recognized as one of the "Top 10 Worldwide" by Sport Business International. The Web Developer will serve as the expert user and developer of the FAU College of Business website, responsible for developing and implementing web solutions using the Omni Content Management System (CMS). This role requires proficiency in various programming languages including XSL, XML, HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery, and Web Services, which will be utilized to integrate database and software applications. The Web Developer will also train new web editors on the CMS and act as a liaison with department heads, end users, and vendors to devise and implement technical solutions that enhance organizational efficiency. Key duties include designing and maintaining the college's CMS, defining workflows, user permissions, and content management tools. The developer will create and optimize landing pages to improve conversion rates and minimize bounce rates, ensuring a consistent user experience that aligns with marketing efforts. Additionally, the role involves producing custom widgets and code tools to extend functionality, providing training and support to faculty and staff, and integrating faculty web profiles with the CMS using REST API web services. The developer will also utilize analytical tools such as Google Analytics to enhance user experience and report on performance metrics, while managing Google Tag Manager for automation and tracking purposes. Other responsibilities may include generating sitemaps and administering Google Search Console to address site performance issues.
