About the position

The Web Developer will join a multidisciplinary training team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a client website that supports a comprehensive technical training program for DoD and Government users. This role involves collaboration in a SAFe Agile framework to design and develop interactive learning solutions, ensuring optimal user experience and operability of the website.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ISDs/Training Developers in a SAFe Agile environment to design and develop classroom learning solutions.
  • Maintain a client website for DoD and Government users, focusing on operability and user experience using HTML.
  • Create and manage interactive software simulations for training purposes.
  • Develop interactive HTML-based modules from CBT storyboards in collaboration with other developers.
  • Organize and manage large file repositories for web component deployment.
  • Monitor changes to web platforms and applications to assess their impact on delivered products.
  • Prepare graphics and multimedia materials, including creating and editing multilayer images.
  • Create and manage web pages using HTML, and write and edit JavaScript and CSS code.
  • Document proprietary code and routines in detail.
  • Employ search engine indexer tools and capture screenshots from client interfaces.
  • Test the website for SCORM conformance and implement solutions to resolve performance issues.
  • Initiate system and process innovations and apply best practices for documentation and file management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in web management or a related discipline and at least 8 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
  • At least 5 years of experience managing websites and creating graphics.
  • At least 5 years of experience writing and editing HTML code.
  • Experience writing and maintaining CSS code.
  • Experience writing and maintaining JavaScript code.
  • Experience working with Instructional Designers.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or equivalent.
  • Experience with video editing tools like Camtasia.
  • Advanced knowledge of web publishing applications like Adobe Dreamweaver with JavaScript and CSS.
