About the position

The Web Developer with Java position is focused on developing, planning, and analyzing software products for a Fortune 500 client. The role requires extensive research and advanced knowledge in computer science and software engineering, with a strong emphasis on software development methodologies. The developer will be involved in software and system testing, product design, and programming activities, ensuring the software meets operational and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and analyze software products.
• Perform software and system testing procedures, including bug verification and release testing.
• Participate in design meetings and consult with staff to evaluate hardware and software interfaces.
• Perform complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects.
• Prepare documentation required for the product.
• Analyze and research software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Consult with customers regarding application and maintenance of software.
• Coordinate installation of software systems.
• Serve as a project architect.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Java development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of software development and methodologies.
• Experience with JEE 6.0, JDK 1.6, WebSphere 8, UML, Datapower, JAX-WS 2.2, JAXB2.2, EJB 3.1, JPA 2.x, WebSphere MQ 7.0, Oracle 11G, and SubVersion.
