About the position

Eko Health is seeking an experienced Web Frontend Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications that support their Enterprise, SMB, and Consumer businesses. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional web experiences, ensuring the performance and quality of applications, and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in developing software features used by physicians and clinical personnel to monitor cardiac health
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Web applications
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive
• Collaborate with backend developers to define and integrate APIs

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience as a Web engineer
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications
• Experience using modern single-page JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
• Familiarity with REST/JSON web services and APIs
• An in-depth understanding of common design patterns and anti-patterns
• Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with medical devices or apps in a regulated environment
• Good understanding of HIPAA compliance
• Experience with EHRs (SMART on FHIR, HL7v2, etc.)
• Experience managing deployments in a cloud environment
