About The Position

The Web Graphics Designer and Developer at Virginia State University is responsible for ensuring that the administrative computer systems effectively support the university's business objectives. This role involves providing technical support for the development of the VSU website, collaborating with various stakeholders, designing brand strategies, performing web application programming, managing content, analyzing web data, and conducting training. The position offers a hybrid work model, requiring three days in the office and two days remote.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Web Designer/Graphics, or equivalent experience.
• Considerable experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Fireworks.
• Competence with PHP and development on a Linux operating system.
• Experience with modern Content Management Systems such as Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and Cascade Server.
• Considerable experience in JAVA, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS, and other web development tools.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
