  • Ensure administrative computer systems support business objectives of Virginia State University.
  • Provide technical support in the development of the VSU website.
  • Collaborate with VSU constituents and third-party vendors.
  • Design and develop brand strategies.
  • Perform web application programming and content management.
  • Conduct web data analysis and training.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Web Designer/Graphics, or equivalent experience.
  • Considerable experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Fireworks.
  • Competence with PHP and development on a Linux operating system.
  • Experience with modern Content Management Systems such as Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and Cascade Server.
  • Considerable experience in JAVA, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS, and other web development tools.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in a higher education environment.
