About the position

As a Senior Web Software Developer at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunities that support the Department of Defense's mission. This position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and is based at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. You will be responsible for the design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, and implementation of software code for various web components. Your work will directly impact the operations of the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), ensuring that the systems in place are secure and efficient. In this role, you will collaborate with graphic designers and project team members to develop the site concept, interface design, and overall architecture of the website. You will be tasked with integrating web applications with backend databases and deploying large web-based transaction systems using application servers. Your responsibilities will also include researching, testing, and coordinating the integration of new products according to production and client requirements, requiring strong instincts in navigation and site design. You will follow a formal design process, utilizing specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques while adhering to laws, standards, and established guidelines for software and web application development. Your role will involve creating visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation, as well as maintaining technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades. Additionally, you will provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring that all components are cohesive and functional.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code for web components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
  • 5 years of experience in website design and branding.
  • 5 years of experience in interactive infographics and graphics creation using Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
  • 5 years of experience in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, ASP, PHP, XML, and IIS for Windows Server environments.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment Certification is required prior to support on contract.
  • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
