About the position

The Solutions Engineer at Cisco plays a crucial role in pre-sales technical support, collaborating with Account Executives to showcase Cisco product solutions. This position involves setting up demonstrations, explaining product features and benefits, and designing configurations tailored to customer needs. The role requires staying updated with the latest technology innovations and actively participating in the development of sales plans and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role.
• Showcase Cisco product solutions through demonstrations.
• Explain features and benefits of products to customers, partners, and prospects.
• Design and configure products to meet specific customer needs.
• Assist in developing formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.
• Actively participate as a specialist on assigned Virtual Team and provide consultative support.

Requirements

• 5+ years related experience in a fast-paced high technology environment.
• Cisco product experience (required).
• BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent; CCIE certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of baseline SE skills and specialization in multiple areas.

Nice-to-haves

• Competitive product experience (preferred).
• Operating experience in Datacenter/Virtualization Networking.
• Experience in coding or software development.
• Experience with SONiC.
