About the position
The Vegetation Specialist Foreman at Webber, LLC is responsible for planning and scheduling resources for vegetation maintenance projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining quality standards. This role involves managing personnel, equipment, and materials, as well as collaborating with project managers to optimize crew scheduling and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all necessary items for crews to begin work each day.
- Supervise all technicians, laborers, specialists, and subcontractors in assigned areas.
- Provide direction to crews regarding scheduling and efficient completion of work.
- Train crews on necessary tasks and required safety procedures.
- Provide daily feedback and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Manage personnel matters including hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with safety procedures and take corrective actions as needed.
- Assist the Project Team in developing work plan procedures and provide technical guidance on regulatory compliance.
- Review and approve Material Requisitions and Purchase Orders for materials and equipment.
- Review subcontractor's inspection programs and reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver license with a good driving record.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in vegetation operations.
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing people.
- 2 years' experience with production scheduling.
- Valid Class A CDL preferred.
- Valid Herbicide License Preferred: Core, Right-of-Way, Aquatic.
