About the position

The Webmaster at OPS Consulting will serve as a project manager for the web team, overseeing tasks related to web design, development, and user experience. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing project plans, and ensuring that web security protocols are followed. The Webmaster will also be responsible for traffic analysis, user testing, and creating content to enhance user engagement on the website.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project manager for the web team's tasks.
  • Help to identify, define, capture requirements and prepare plans and roadmaps for design, development, and release.
  • Coordinate, manage, and communicate project plans, requirements, and version releases by working closely with USG stakeholders and other team members.
  • Perform traffic analysis, user polls, and UX analysis to ensure communication/usage optimization, including periodic testing and user testing.
  • Plan, create, execute, and manage the web design/structure/strategy to ensure user experience principles are applied and branding standards are met.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed and address any access removals as appropriate.
  • Monitor the Confluence space regularly to ensure usage follows Terms of Use/Usage Agreement.
  • Collaborate with a larger team to plan, design, and implement new features or components as identified by leadership and USG stakeholders.
  • Work closely with content owners and SME authors to identify content and UX needs of the end user and draft site content for review.
  • Design and create various forms of media for publishing through the site or in other digital formats.
  • Manage Confluence spaces and instances, including permissions.
  • Utilize knowledge of Confluence and other corporate tools to deliver requested capabilities or requirements.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools is helpful.
