About the position

The Website Administrator/Java Developer at Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is responsible for managing and administering the Oracle WebLogic Application Server, designing and deploying applications that interact with IBM MQ Server, and ensuring secure messaging through WebSphere MQ and Java Messaging Service. The role involves overseeing system operations on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments, developing documentation for disaster recovery and security protocols, and migrating systems to Military and Government Azure environments while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Oracle WebLogic Application Server.
  • Configure, monitor, and set up security connections.
  • Design and deploy applications that interact with IBM MQ Server.
  • Ensure secure messaging through WebSphere MQ and Java Messaging Service.
  • Oversee system operations on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for disaster recovery, security protocols, and coding standards.
  • Migrate systems to Military and Government Azure environments.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards stated in Section 508.

Requirements

  • Must have an ACTIVE U.S. Government SECRET Clearance.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP.
  • Must have 5+ years of related experience.
  • Must be willing and able to support on-site meetings at Fort Belvoir, VA as needed.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Python, WebLogic Scripting, Linux Shell scripting, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Previous experience in Java Programming - J2EE, Struts 2 framework, Model View Controller (MVC) practices, JDBC, JSP, Servlets, Swing, Java messaging service (JMS/MQ Series), and command line.
  • Previous experience in Perl, C#.Net, SQL, and PL/SQL programming.
  • Hands-on experience using Java development tools such as JDeveloper, Eclipse, Java SDK, Java Runtime; ability to compile Java class files, create and deploy .WAR files.
  • Hands-on experience using Java build tools such as Apache Ant and Maven.
  • Hands-on experience with Source Control tools such as GIT.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with design tools such as Visio.
