About the position

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking a Website Content Marketing Manager to join its Marketing & Communications team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the digital enrollment pathway for prospective students and building partnerships with business and industry. The ideal candidate will be a digital-first content leader who is passionate about promoting the career-focused, hands-on ethos of Stout's polytechnic identity. The position requires a commitment to improving communication through metrics and analytics, and the ability to create content that builds relationships with the audience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining content on the university's websites using various content management systems, including Drupal Workbench and Point Office 365. This role supports strategic marketing initiatives aimed at student recruitment, retention, partnerships, and fundraising by developing engaging content for the university's digital platforms. In addition to content management, the Website Content Marketing Manager will collaborate with various departments to optimize digital communication pathways, including email and digital advertising. The position also involves developing and executing web marketing opportunities across different units and programs, maintaining relationships with university clients, and establishing integrated marketing strategies. The Marketing & Communications Department is dedicated to fostering an inclusive campus community, and candidates with experience working collaboratively with diverse groups are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

  • Maintain content on the UW-Stout websites using Drupal Workbench and Point Office 365 CMS.
  • Support strategic marketing initiatives for student recruitment, retention, partnerships, and fundraising.
  • Develop content for university websites and optimize other digital communication pathways, including email and digital advertising.
  • Develop and execute cross-unit and program web marketing opportunities.
  • Maintain university client relationships and establish integrated marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills.
  • Strong design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Excellent organization, creativity, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong strategic marketing project management skills.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding judgment and work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with PHP, jQuery, and/or related programming languages.
  • Experience in a higher education environment and/or a large nonprofit organization.
  • Development and analysis of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management systems (CRM).
  • Comfort creating and delivering presentations to various stakeholders.
