About the position

The Website Content Specialist at the United States Equestrian Federation is responsible for executing the organization's digital content strategy and managing website content. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the website is user-friendly and aligned with the organization's goals. The specialist will also focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and utilize analytics to enhance the online presence of the Federation.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain web pages for existing and future sites managed by US Equestrian.
  • Collaborate with staff across all USEF departments to keep existing pages updated, user-friendly, and on brand.
  • Develop and implement digital content strategies that align with the organization's goals and target audience.
  • Proactively manage and update website content, ensuring alignment with best practices, including keywords, meta descriptions, tagging, and back-end functionality.
  • Train and support staff members on content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing processes.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant search terms and opportunities for content optimization.
  • Optimize website content, including landing pages, blog posts, and product pages, to improve search visibility and user experience.
  • Leverage Google Analytics and similar measurement tools to make strategic website recommendations and decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze website key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in SEO and digital marketing and proactively recommend new strategies and tactics to improve online presence.
  • Set up, manage and optimize paid search campaigns, including Google AdWords and other advertising platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, computer science, or communications.
  • 2+ years of working on website content.
