Website Designer - New

About the position

The Website Designer position at Sun City Roseville Community Association involves maintaining and enhancing the association's websites and digital content. This role is ideal for a motivated and creative individual who enjoys designing user-friendly websites and collaborating with various stakeholders. The designer will be responsible for ensuring that the websites are visually appealing, accessible, and optimized for performance across different devices and browsers.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, edit, and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly SCRCA websites that are responsive and accessible.
• Learn and become proficient in using the content management system and digital signage solution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
• Assist members and users in accessing or updating SCRCA websites and content.
• Regularly contact department heads and clubs/groups/committees for design information and requirements.
• Coordinate with the Resident Website workgroup to update and improve web pages.
• Work with member clubs/groups on the maintenance of their web pages and email blasts.
• Post, edit, and maintain all content on the SCRCA Resident Website and other SCRCA websites.
• Design, review, and send SCRCA HTML email blasts.
• Research and recommend solutions or technologies that could benefit the association.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in a Website or Graphics Designer role building and/or maintaining websites and digital content.
• In-depth working knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with JavaScript.
• Experience using CMS platforms and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
• Excellent computer, mobile/tablet, and technical skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of website design, usability, responsive design, and ADA web accessibility guidelines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with digital signage solutions.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards.
