About the position

The Mill Top is seeking a dedicated and experienced Wedding Event Associate to support our Event Coordinators in the preparation and execution of various events, primarily on weekends. This part-time position requires a proactive individual who can anticipate project needs, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. The role is essential in ensuring that events run smoothly, and it involves working closely with vendors, guests, and the bridal party to create memorable experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for special event management and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. This position demands a positive attitude, resourcefulness, and excellent problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with both staff and customers. As a Wedding Event Associate, you will be responsible for various tasks during events, including serving as a liaison between different parties, overseeing the event timeline, assisting the bridal party, setting up and flipping the event space, and ensuring a clean and organized environment post-event. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to stand for long periods and navigate stairs. A love for the event industry and a willingness to work late nights and weekends are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between vendors, guests, family, bridal party, and Mill Top staff during events to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee the flow and execution of the event timeline.
  • Assist coordinators with getting the bridal party down the aisle.
  • Set up events, including linens, decorations, and napkin folding.
  • Flip the room from ceremony to reception as needed.
  • Tear down and clear the space after an event.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in customer service (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under high-stress situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional etiquette is a must.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
  • Personable and outgoing, not intimidated by large crowds.
  • Ability to be a team player and work on multiple projects from various staff.
