About the position
The Lead Wedding Coordinator position at Leigh & Co. Events is a contract role focused on providing comprehensive wedding planning services for engaged couples. This role involves leading the planning and execution of weddings, primarily onsite, and offers flexibility in scheduling. The position is ideal for individuals looking to enter the wedding industry, with training provided for the 2025 season.
Responsibilities
- Create wedding timelines for couples
- Advocate for the couple, keeping them calm under pressure and assisting with any issues that arise throughout the day
- Oversee ceremony & reception set up
- Execute all day-of operations for the wedding, including being at the venue from the morning through tear down at night
- Greet and direct all vendors
- Communicate with all vendors regarding set ups
- Set up seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favors, guest book, and other decor
- Assist the wedding party and family with any needs, questions, or concerns
- Ensure end of event arrangements are made for gifts, guest book, toasting flutes, etc.
Requirements
- Ability to work weekends is essential
- Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner
- Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
