About the position

As a Wedding Videographer for American Wedding Group, you will be responsible for capturing the essence of wedding ceremonies and receptions through structured and flowing video footage. Utilizing professional DSLR/DSLR hybrid equipment, your role is to create high-quality wedding videos that are not only visually appealing but also ready for immediate delivery to clients. The expectation is to shoot cleanly and conservatively, ensuring that the final product reflects the beauty and emotion of the day without being intrusive. Your work will involve discreetly capturing moments that clients may overlook, providing them with a comprehensive and living record of their wedding day. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to blend into the background while still obtaining all necessary footage. You will be the silent observer, ensuring that every significant moment is documented for the couple to cherish for years to come. In addition to shooting, you will also be expected to have strong in-camera editing skills, allowing you to produce a polished video that can be sent to clients promptly. This role demands not only technical proficiency but also a professional demeanor and appearance, as you will be representing the company on one of the most important days in a couple's life.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality wedding videos using professional DSLR/DSLR hybrid equipment.
  • Ensure videos are shot cleanly and conservatively with in-camera editing capabilities.
  • Work discreetly and unobtrusively to gather necessary footage without disrupting the event.
  • Provide a living record of the wedding day by documenting significant moments that clients may miss.
  • Deliver the final video promptly to clients after ensuring all footage is backed up and edited.

Requirements

  • Proven shooting track record with samples to showcase shooting style.
  • Own high-quality DSLR/DSLR hybrid equipment, including back-up camera, on-board lighting, wireless lavaliere, interview microphone, tripod, slider and/or gimbal.
  • Strong in-camera edit skills.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly the ability to back up footage to an external hard drive before sending the original copy via digital download.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
