About the position

The Weekday Cash Office Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This part-time position involves working early morning shifts, primarily focusing on cash handling, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with eye contact and a friendly demeanor.
• Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions politely.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor promptly.
• Follow all company policies regarding cash handling and loss prevention.
• Report any unsafe conditions to store leadership immediately.
• Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery tasks to keep the store neat and organized.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
• Ability to stand and move around the store for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing more than 25 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or customer service environments.
• Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
