The Weekday Kennel Technician position at our busy pet boarding facility involves providing exceptional care for animals while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animals and can thrive in a fast-paced setting. The technician will be responsible for various tasks, including cleaning, monitoring animal health, and ensuring the well-being of pets in our care.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning up potty messes
- Taking dogs outside for activities
- Daily cleaning of the facility
- Monitoring the health and well-being of animals and reporting any concerns to management
- Caring for cats and small animals
Requirements
- Previous kennel experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills
