About the position

The Member Services Representative - Front Desk plays a crucial role in promoting the Judgement Free Zone at Planet Fitness by embodying the company's core values and ensuring a welcoming environment for all members. This position involves a variety of responsibilities focused on maintaining club cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and supporting operational strategies.

Responsibilities

• Perform to the best of abilities during assigned work shifts.
• Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Ensure all proper training has been completed for safe and efficient operations.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the store meets Excel Standards.
• Perform club inspections and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
• Process and review daily club activity paperwork and file appropriately.
• Audit and balance cash drawers daily.
• Update and review daily club reports and complete corresponding data entry documents.
• Maintain and clean the front entrance for a welcoming environment.
• Adhere to company policies and address minor infractions.
• Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
• Communicate with members to create a high level of customer service.
• Stock retail and promotional items for the following shift.
• Perform daily club inspections and complete assigned cleaning sections.
• Audit club inventory and communicate recommendations for inventory orders.
• Stay up to date on all required certifications and training courses.
• Assist General Manager and Assistant Manager with club promotions and operational strategies.
• Ensure facility compliance with state and federal laws and insurance requirements.
• Assist members with tanning, hydro, and Total Body Enhancement equipment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with Excel's mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.
• Great communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
