About the position

The Weekend Project Manager at Mariners Church is responsible for developing media assets that enhance the messages and teachings during weekend services. This full-time role involves collaboration across multiple teams to create digital and printed media, ensuring consistency and quality across all church locations. The position requires attendance at weekend services and engagement with congregation teams to assess and improve media usage, ultimately supporting the church's growth and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project manager and primary point of contact for asset creation to support the weekend experience at all Mariners locations.
  • Work across multiple teams (Creative, Content, Ministry) for the development of digital media, printed media, and video.
  • Leverage communication channels to maximize the impact of messages and teaching during live and online services.
  • Attend weekend services to assess the usage of media assets and ensure consistency across locations.
  • Debrief and coach congregation teams weekly on media asset performance and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare all briefing and content for supporting teams, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget standards are met.
  • Align with cross-departmental program planning processes for the weekend.
  • Consult with team leads to ensure assets translate well across all environments.
  • Work with outside vendors for special event supplies as needed.
  • Manage after-hours asset changes and complete asset proofing for stakeholder sign-off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in event production, marketing, communications, or project management.
  • Strong technical proficiency across various systems and programs.
  • Experience with Google Suite, Rock Database, ASANA, ProPresenter, Planning Center Online, and Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and balance competing priorities.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and client management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a church or non-profit environment.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing software.
