About the position
The Grit Ninja is seeking a Weekend Manager & Party Coordinator to join our dynamic team at our Pleasantville, NY facility. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the fitness and recreation industry, we pride ourselves on providing a fun and adventurous environment for children through our innovative "ninja warrior" based fitness programs. Our facility offers a variety of activities including kids classes, open gyms, camps, birthday parties, competitions, and private events, all designed to promote strength, coordination, agility, balance, problem-solving skills, self-confidence, and grit among our young participants. In this role, the Weekend Manager will oversee all weekend activities, which include managing kids' birthday parties, open gym sessions, and various kids' classes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the mission and values of The Grit Ninja are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the gym. This position requires a strong focus on creating a community atmosphere that feels welcoming and family-like for our customers. Additionally, coaching hours may be available during the week, typically after school hours and during holiday camps, providing further opportunities for engagement with our young ninjas. The successful candidate will be organized, responsible, and possess excellent communication skills, along with a genuine enjoyment of working with children. This is a part-time or full-time position, with pay ranging from $16.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Pleasantville, NY, before starting work, as this is an in-person role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee weekend activities including kids birthday parties, open gyms, and kids classes.
- Ensure the TGN mission and values are communicated and implemented at the gym.
- Create a community and family-like atmosphere for customers.
- Manage weekend operations of classes, open gyms, birthday parties, and special events.
