About the position

The Weekend Personal Care Assistant/Caregiver role at Right at Home Monterey Bay involves providing essential personal care services to seniors and adults with disabilities. This position is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and offering companionship. The role requires flexibility to work on weekends and may include both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Offering dementia care
• Engaging in companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in Personal Care duties and bathroom and incontinence assistance
• Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
