About the position

The Weekend Respiratory RN position at Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing involves providing specialized respiratory care to patients in a skilled nursing facility. The role requires a highly motivated and organized individual who can assess, develop treatment plans, and deliver care to patients with respiratory and cardio-pulmonary conditions. The position is focused on delivering quality therapy and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, particularly during weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient treatments that meet patient needs and uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with facility clinical procedures.
• Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with the facility's regulatory, licensing, payor, and accrediting requirements.
• Demonstrates a facility interdisciplinary approach to patient care by integrating findings from other team members and preparing for rehab team conferences.
• Contributes to professional development by maintaining current professional status and adhering to clinical standards.
• Aids in building and maintaining the facility's reputation as a leading respiratory therapy provider through professional conduct and teamwork.
• Demonstrates safe working practices by identifying safety hazards and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

• Valid RN License in the state of practice.
• Experience in a rehabilitation center or skilled nursing facility.
• Graduation from an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases and medical terminology.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred experience with oxygen weaning therapy, aerosol therapy, and incentive spirometry.
• Experience with CPAP/BIPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Familiarity with cardiac and pulmonary programs.
