About the position
The Weekend Respiratory Therapist position at Coral Reef Subacute Care Center involves providing respiratory care to patients in a skilled nursing facility. The role requires a licensed professional who is passionate about working with the geriatric population and can operate independently to evaluate and treat patients. The therapist will implement various respiratory techniques and therapies to enhance patient recovery and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses.
- Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, and operate, check, and assemble equipment.
- Complete a variety of bedside treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy.
- Perform airway management and assessment, including tracheo-bronchial suctioning and tracheostomy care.
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and high-flow oxygen administration.
- Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter and attend applicable IDT meetings.
- Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
- Follow procedure and protocol of the facility and perform related duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
- Licensed as RRT or CRT in the state of practice.
- BLS certification.

- Experience with tracheotomy.

Benefits
- Base pay range of $64K - $87K per year.
