About the position

The Outreach & Expansion AmeriCorps VISTA position at United Way of Utah County is a full-time, temporary role focused on enhancing community outreach and support for low-income families through the Welcome Baby program. The VISTA member will work to create sustainable systems for volunteer recruitment and outreach, develop marketing strategies, and coordinate data collection and analysis to increase program participation and awareness. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining professional experience in the nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a structured curriculum for Welcome Baby home visits.
• Identify and secure additional funding sources to support the Welcome Baby program's growth.
• Develop marketing strategies to increase community awareness, engagement, and participation in the program.
• Coordinate data collection and analysis.
• Attend community events to market the Welcome Baby Program to potential program families, volunteers, and community partners.
• Support the Welcome Baby Coordinator with ongoing projects such as donations, community events, and partner outreach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• U.S. Citizen at least 18 years of age.
• Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Reliable vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood, child development, family relations, education, public health, nonprofit management/leadership, recreation or related degrees preferred.
