About the position

The Weld Lead Specialist plays a crucial role in the production of custom-built heavy-duty service and lubrication bodies, as well as service body cranes. This position requires minimal supervision and focuses on achieving the organization's overall mission and goals while ensuring high-quality production standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental workflow and internal production planning with the Production Supervisor.
• Oversee productivity within work cells and manage schedules, materials, and personnel.
• Attend production-related meetings in the absence of the Production Supervisor.
• Set up and operate all machines in the primary area/department and perform various jobs as needed.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to Production Workers and Production Technicians in manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, assisting others in problem-solving.
• Enforce safety regulations and monitor safety housekeeping practices.
• Maintain time and production records and assist with continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain proper inventory of consumables and service parts for cutting machines.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of welding skills and processes.
• Ability to set up and operate various machines in the department.
• Experience in coordinating workflow and managing production schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assist others in resolving work-related issues.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce them.
