Knowledge of general safety guidelines and Sabre's quality expectations is crucial, as the welder will be responsible for manually positioning pole assemblies for welding, interpreting drawings and specifications, and adjusting welding machines to achieve desired results. The role also involves using various tools and equipment, such as oxy-fuel torches, pneumatic drills, and band saws, to perform welding and cutting tasks. The welder must visually inspect their work to ensure compliance with applicable drawings and specifications and assist in assembling pole assemblies when needed. Physical requirements include standing for the entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. The position is located in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures, and the welder must wear protective equipment at all times.
